Please read carefully before deciding to bring your pets.

At Claycomb Chalets, we extend a warm welcome to your furry companions. To ensure a comfortable stay for all our guests, we have established specific guidelines for those traveling with pets. Please review and adhere to the following rules and regulations:

1. Pet Limit and Breed Restrictions:

   • We permit a maximum of 2 pets per cabin with certain breed restrictions in place (details below).
     
     

2. Additional Pet Fee:

   • A non-refundable pet fee of $100 per stay applies.
     
     

3. Pet Specifications:

   • All pets must meet the following criteria:
     • Weight not exceeding 75 lbs.
     • Minimum age of 1 year or older.
     • Spayed or neutered.
     • Free from fleas and ticks (use of flea/tick collars or medication is recommended).
     • Up-to-date on rabies and all other vaccinations, with heartworm prevention highly recommended in the Laurel Highlands.
       
       

4. Leash Requirement:

   • Pets must be leashed at all times while on the property.

5. Cleanliness Responsibility:

   • Guests are responsible for promptly cleaning up any pet waste. Failure to do so will result in a $25 fine for each occurrence.
     
     

6. Furniture Usage:

   • Pets are not permitted on the furniture at any time. Evidence of pets on furniture will incur additional cleaning fees.
     
     

7. Tick and Flea Prevention:

   • Prior to arrival, all pets must be treated with a topical flea and tick repellent, given the prevalence of these parasites in the area.
     
     

8. Property and Furnishings Damage:

   • Guests must ensure that pets do not cause damage to the chalet premises or furnishings. The cost of any such damage may be deducted from the security deposit.
     
     

9. Noise and Disturbance:

   • Pets should not create excessive noise that disturbs neighbors. If excessive barking occurs, please refrain from bringing your pets, as failure to address this issue may result in removal by local authorities.
     
     

10. Unattended Pets:

    • Pets must never be left unattended on the property, both indoors and outdoors, including balconies, patios, or porches.
      
      

11. Liability and Care:

    • Claycomb Chalets and its homeowners assume no responsibility for any illness or injury incurred by pets or humans while on the premises. Guests are solely responsible for their pets and any related incidents.
      
      

12. Restricted Breeds:

    • Due to insurance policy regulations, the following breeds are not allowed on the property under any circumstances: Pit Bulls, Staffordshire Terriers, Doberman Pinschers, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Chows, Great Danes, Presa Canarios, Akitas, Alaskan Malamutes, Siberian Huskies, and Wolf-hybrids.
